Yesterday we attended the @younggamechangersfund celebration at Chester Zoo. The fund has been vital in helping us with our work over the last year. We met so many lovely young people, hearing how their projects were supported by the grant, across so many areas of youth social action. We attended a workshop on funding decision-making, a network and paint session, and had a chance to look around the zoo. It was an unforgettable experience!

Yesterday some of our members attended the incredible change makers conference, which was organised by @cymru_global and held in the @templeofpeacewales . We had our own stall where we asked the young people in attendance “What would you do if you were prime minister for a day?”, “What makes a good leader?” and “What would a perfect world look like?” and we were very impressed with both sthe creativity that the children had and their knowledge about global crises. We learnt about the incredible work that @keepitfaxcharity does, and had an amazing workshop with @karinaismsillustration #youthwork #climatecrisis #climateaction #youthclimateleaders #wales

Earlier this week, some of our members had the amazing opportunity to visit the reset connect conference in London, as part of London Climate Action Week. We attended talks,asked questions to speakers and explored the large hall full of stalls displaying the latest advances in climate technology. It was incredibly warm during our time in London, which highlighted the need for strong action to be taken to reduce emissions. Outside of the conference hours, we explored parts of London using the tube, and had a lot of fun. #climate #climatecrisis #londonclimateactionweek #lcaw2026 #resetconnect

Last week Yolay and Lila (YCA’s Chair and Vice Chair) attended the 38th CCIVS General Conference in Pretoria, South Africa.

It was a real privilege to be involved in conversation, listen to stories and be inspired by people from all over the world. The conference was an incredible platform to share the YCA journey, amplify wider youth voice and learn from others about how to make effective change.

We were very lucky to meet the wonderful CCIVS Youth Committee who we will be working with moving forward with our Taith funded climate education project.

Yesterday our YCA members Menna, Emily, and Sara spoke on a panel alongside incredible speakers discussing groups who are disproportionately affected by climate change. There were representatives for women’s groups,young people, native communities and global majority countries. We had powerful conversations, gained powerful insight, and amazing discussions with the audience. Thank you to climate Cymru for organising the event and to everyone who joined us!🌍

We explored @museumwales ‘s collections today for our new project on nature based flood defences 🌿💧 It was so interesting to see all the specimens, they had so much to tell both of us and we had a great time collaborating in order to create an exhibition which will highlight the importance of our nature!

St Fagans Celebration of Nature event 🌳🏞️ Yesterday some of our members attended, and ran a stall at an amazing event at St Fagans which celebrated the incredible variety of nature we have here in Wales. On our stall we invited young people to use Lego in order to imagine nature based ways in which we could fix some of the problems we face in society. Many children built rivers, meadows and amazing forests and we had a lot of fun using our imaginations to design a better future. We tied this to our petitions which advocates for more nature based flood solutions to be used in wales (which you can still sign through the link in our Bio). 🦦 Digwyddiad Dathliad Natur Sain Ffagan 🌳🏞️ Ddoe, mynychodd rhai o’n haelodau stondin mewn digwyddiad anhygoel yn Sain Ffagan a oedd yn dathlu’r amrywiaeth anhygoel o natur sydd gennym yma yng Nghymru. Ar ein stondin, fe wnaethom wahodd pobl ifanc i ddefnyddio Lego er mwyn dychmygu ffyrdd naturiol y gallem ddefnyddio i ddatrys rhai o’r problemau sy’n ein hwynebu yn y gymdeithas. Adeiladodd llawer o blant afonydd, pontydd a choedwigoedd anhygoel a chawsom lawer o hwyl yn defnyddio ein dychymyg i ddylunio dyfodol gwell. 🦡 Stand for Nature Youth Manifesto 🦡

On Wednesday YCA was invited to the Wildlife Trusts' launch of the Stand for Nature youth manifesto ahead of COP16.

Their manifesto calls for action from politicians in Wales to secure our future, biodiversity and climate. Seeing a project that has brought passionate young people from all across Wales together, fighting for the same change was so inspiring.

🦡 Stand for Nature Youth Manifesto 🦡

On Wednesday YCA was invited to the Wildlife Trusts' launch of the Stand for Nature youth manifesto ahead of COP16.

Their manifesto calls for action from politicians in Wales to secure our future, biodiversity and climate. Seeing a project that has brought passionate young people from all across Wales together, fighting for the same change was so inspiring.

On Sunday the Youth Climate ambassadors and the Youth peace ambassadors collaborated to organise a sustainable fashion show and clothes swap! Our clothes swap was very successful, and effectively gave life to old pieces of clothing that would of otherwise been put to waste. Thank you to everyone who came along, the swap wouldn’t have been the same with out you 💗

Arthur is a 16 year old student from Cardiff, passionate about promoting the right to a clean and safe environment for all.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes, recruiting new members, creating new goals and getting to know each other. We can’t wait to share our work with you all as we continue to fight for climate justice and change.
